Cuba - Main Page
In February 2019 Virginia and I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go to Cuba for a week. Most of this time we were part of a Backroads.com people-to-people activity tour. The first and last nights we were on our own in Havana.
2019 was the 500th aniversary of the founding of the city of Havana. It is also the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. The Havana 500th anniversary and street art of Havana is the subject of my November 2019 blog post.

The national tree of Cuba is the royal palm, Roystonea regia. This same species can be found in south Florida and appears in my Cuba Landscape photograph made in the countryside of Matanzas province.
