Sancti Spíritus
In May of 2025 I traveled to the Sancti Spíritus province in central Cuba as part of an Earthwatch expedition.
Here are some of the images from the Lomas de Banao Ecological Reserve.
The view of green mountains and valleys under a cloud-filled sky was made late in the afternoon from La Sabina, a research station and eco-hostel.
The mountain peak at dusk is Pico Tuerto, which translates to One-eyed Peak. This image was taken from the chickee where my tent was set up at Hoyo del Naranjal field station and farm.
