The Cuban trogon is not only endemic to Cuba, it is the national bird. It is found in both moist and dry forests and also degraded former forests.
Containing the colors of the Cuban flag, with a blue crown, red belly and white throat and chest, this bird also has a green back. They are 25-28cm (10-11 in.) long measured from beak to tail. Priotelus temnurus are also called tocororo and usually travel through the forests in pairs.
