Florida native
An occasional vine of disturbed sites in the central and southern peninsula. Native to South and Southeast Asian including India and CHina. Now also found in Hawaii, the Caribbean, Central America and into South America as far as Brazil.
The leaves are opposite on un-winged petioles. The blades are lanceolate to triangular-ovate and from 5-8cm (2 to 3-1/8 in.) long. The flowers are white, 3-5cm (up to 2 in.) wide with bracts that are shorter than the corolla tube.
Thunbergia fragrans is a member of the Acanthaceae - Acanthus family.
