Not native to Florida
An occasional wildflower of disturbed sites in ALachua County and south throughout most of the peninsula, plus Leon, Liberty and Escambia Counties. ALso found in Georgia, SOuth Carolina, Louisiana, Ohio and California. Native to Asia.
The lower leaves are variously lobed, and may be lyrate-pinnatifid to lobate. The corolla is usually pink to purplish, very rarely red. The style is whitish-pink to pink.
Emilia sonchifolia is a member of the Asteraceae - Aster family.
