Florida native
An occasional wildflower of swamps and marshes throughout much of Fl orida, mostly in the northern and central peninsula. Absent from all border counties except Nassau. The range extends through mostly coastal areas from Louisiana to Virginia.
One of the taller asters, with plants reaching over 1.2m (4 ft.) at flowering time. The main stem leaves can be 2-5cm (3/4 - 2 in.)wide.
