The only species of pussytoes in Florida is a rare plant of hammocks and found only in Leon County. Plantainleaf pussytoes ranges from Minnesota to Louisiana and all states eastward except Michigan. Also found in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Quebec.
Antennaria plantaginifolia has male and female flowers on different plants that often grow in separate colonies.
