A rare plant of sandhills from the central peninsula to the western panhandle in Florida. The range extends north through the eastern United States to the great lakes and west into Texas and Missouri.
Similar to forked bluecurls, narrowleaf bluecurls grow up to 50cm (20 i.) tall. Leaves of this species are 1-6mm (up to 1/4 in.) wide and more than 6 times as long as wide.
Trichostema setaceum is a member of the Lamiaceae - Mint family.
