An occassional perennial of the central Florida panhandle and Georgia. Habitats include wet pine flatwoods, bogs, wiregrass and pine savannas, margins of cypress swamps and wet ditches.
The pubescent leaves are linear and grasslike. The ray flowers are dark red to orange-red and reflexed on solitary heads up to a meter tall.


Rudbeckia graminifolia is a member of the Asteraceae - Aster family.
