Florida native
Found in flatwoods and disturbed sites thoughout most of Florida. Narrowleaf everlasting also ranges thoughout the southeastern United States from Virginia to Oklahoma and Texas except Arkansas, plus Arizona and California.
This species can be differentiated from others of the genus by the narrower leaves and silvery appearance. The basal and lower stem leaves are typically linear to oblanceolate, 2-6mm (up to 1/4 in.) wide, occasionally to 10mm (4/10 in.) wide. The bracts in the heads are also linear to oblanceolate.
