Loggerheads are the most common sea turtle in Florida.
The loggerhead sea turtle is a wide-ranging species, occuring throughout the temperate sub-tropical and tropical regions of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. In the Atlantic, the loggerhead turtle's range extends from Newfoundland to as far south as Argentina.
