Rarely found in disturbed sites in Lee and Palm Beach Counties. Native to Asia.
The flowers look similar to wild comfrey (Andersonglossum virginianum) except that Ceylon hound's tongue flowers are blue with a white center and wild comfrey are all white. Also the style is prominent on the fruit of Cynoglossum zeylanicum.
Cynoglossum zeylanicum is a member of the Boraginaceae - Borage family.
