Not native to Florida
An occasional herb of moist, disturbed sites in much of Florida. Also introduced in the southeastern coastal states from South Carolina to Texas, plus Oregon. Native to tropical America, now found in tropical and temperate areas globally.
This perennial has only basal leaves with long petioles and three obcordate leaflets each longer than 2.5cm (one inch). The five flaring petals vary from pink through lavender to rose-purple. Sepals are glabrous to sparsely pubescent, with orange tubercles at the tips.
