Florida native
A frequent vine of disturbed sites throughout much of Florida. The range includes Georgia through Texas, plus Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The range includes Mexico, Central and parts of South America and the Caribbean. Also found in India, Southeast Asia and Australia.
Noyau vine has a white morning-glory type flower with a red to maroon center and deeply dissected leaves with at least 7 lobes.
Previously considered a non-native plant in Florida, Distimake dissectus is now classified as a native partly based on early observations of this plant by both William Bartram and André Michaux.
Distimake dissectus is a member of the Convolvulaceae - Morning-glory family.
