Florida native
An occasional morning-glory of disturbed site throughout most of Florida. The range includes the southern states from Georgia west into New Mexico, plus Virginia, Massachusetts, Vermont, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. This is present as a non-native in Hawaii.
The distinctive flowers are red and salverform with tubes up to about 4cm (1-9/16 in.) long. Leaves are simple with varying shapes but most often three-lobed or heart-shaped.
