Not native to Florida
This small tree is native to Asia and is frequently used in landscaping in Florida and across the very most southern United States.
Typically growing to about 10m (33 ft.) tall, occasionally up to 15m (49 ft.). Leaves are elliptic to oblong, up to 20cm (almost 8 in.) long and 9cm (3-1/2 in.) wide. The small white flowers appear in pyramid-shaped clusters. Fruit is a berry, initially red then maturing to black.
