Ragweed gall mites can be found in much of the Florida peninsula. They have also been reported in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and California.
These mites cause galls on the leaves of ragweeds (Genus Ambrosia).
Aceria boycei is a member of the Eriophyidae - Gall mites family.
