This low-growing ground cover has the largest flowers of the Richardia genus. The flowers are six-lobed with white petals often having a pink or lilac tinge and appearing in sessile clusters at the terminus of the stems. The entire plant is rough-hairy, denser in the upper portions. The leaves are opposite, lanceolate to elliptic, with ciliate margins.
Richardia grandiflora is a member of the Rubiaceae - Madder family.
