Anelaphus inermis
Speckled Dark Longicorn Beetle

This long-horned beetle can be found throughout much of Florida. The range includes the southeastern states from Georgia to Texas, plus Mexico, Central America and the West Indies.
Length is 11-18mm (~1/2 to 3/4 in.). The eyes are notched and surround the base of the antenna. The last segment of the maxillary palps are blunt at the end.
The host plants are hardwoods.
Anelaphus inermis is a member of the Cerambycidae - Longhorned beetles family.
