Found throughout Florida only in the winter, American robins range throughout most of the United States year-round. During the summer breeding season they migrate into all except the northernmost regions of Canada.
Robins are a fairly large songbird and the largest of the thrushes in North America. The back and wings are grayish-brown, the head is darker, especially on the males, there is a broken white eye-ring and they have a yellow beak. The breast and sides are a rusty-orange, the lower belly and below the tail is white.
Turdus migratorius is a member of the Turdidae - Thrushes, Robins, Chats, and Wheatears family.
