This native of Africa can now be found throughout much of the Florida peninsula into some scattered central panhandle counties and also in Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Indigofera spicata is poisonous and can be lethal to animals such as horses and other livestock. The plant is apparently tasty to many animals other than pigs.
