Largeflower jointweed is a brittle, woody shrub that can grow to 3 feet tall and spreading. The distinctive ocrea, typical of the jointweed family, are bristly on Polygonella robusta. The 1-2" linear leaves are alternate & clustered. Small white to pinkinsh flowers in 2-3" long spikelike racemes appear in summer and fall.
Found in sandhills, turkey oak barrens and sand pine scrub from the central panhandle through the central peninsula to southeast of Lake Ochechobee.
