Silver River
The Silver River is about 6 miles long, running from Silver Springs near Ocala to join the Ocklawaha River a little south of the highway 40 bridge over the Ocklawaha. River access is available at Silver Springs State Park or at Ray Wayside Park.
In July of 2011 I participated in a canoe and kayak paddle on the Silver River with members of the Florida Native Plant Society Pawpaw Chapter. Below is a video with highlights from that outing.
