Florida Bellflower - Campanula floridana
Location - Volusia County roadside
Habitat - Cypress domes, marshes, pond margins and other wet places
Range - Much of the peninsula plus a few north Florida counties
Description - This perennial wildflower has a weak, slender, vine-like stem that is often growing along the ground or on top of other plants.
The flowers are 1/2 to 3/4 inch across with five purple petals and five green sepals as long or longer than the petals.
The narrow leaves clasp the stem and have minute gland-tipped teeth along the edge.
