A common herb of flatwoods, marshes and wet disturbed sites in nearly all of Florida. The range extends throughout the southeast, west into Texas & Okalhaoma, northwest into Missouri, northeast into Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
Growing up to 2m (6-1/2 ft.) tall with leaves deeply divided into narrowly linear segments that are less than 1mm wide in the upper part of the plant. The inflorescence is made up of small white flowers in a dense panicle.
