A small click beetle of sandy habitats in the Florida peninsula and also into Georgia.
Overall reddish-brown with the pronotum a slightly lighter shade than the elytra. These beetles are usually less than 7mm (~1/4 in.) long and covered in yellow-gray hairs.
The specific name asper is Latin for rough.
Dipropus asper is a member of the Elateridae - Click Beetles family.
