Found in woodlands throughout Florida and the southern United States, as far northeast as New York, reaching into Colorado, Kansas and Missouri in the central plains and all western coastal states. Also ranges throughout Mexico.
This true bug is dark with a thin red border and 13-17mm (1/2 to 2/3 in.)long.
Commonly occurs on pines, oaks and wax myrtle, but also occasionally on more herbaceous plants.
Largus succinctus is a member of the Largidae - Bordered Plant Bugs family.
