These moths can be found in the eastern United States, Mexico, Central America and psrts of South America.
The adults have a wingspan of about 4cm (~1-1/2 in.) and have brown longitudinal stripes on top of the thorax.
The larvae indiscriminately feed on a wide variety of plants.
Spodoptera dolichos is a member of the Noctuidae - Owlet Moths family.
