This insect was seen on a graytwig plant in north Cuba between Matanzas and Veradero.
This appears to be one of the predatory stink bugs in the subfamily Asopinae. It appears very similar to Stiretrus anchorago - the anchor stink bug, Euthyrhynchus floridanus - the Florida predatory stink bug and the genus Perillus, all of which are highly variable.
Predatory stink bugs are members of the Pentatomidae family of stink bugs.
