A frequent aquatic plant of rivers, ponds, lakes and sloughs throughout much of Florida. Ranges throughout much of the southern states and extending north into Oregon, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Landoltia punctata is a member of the Araceae - Arum family.
