Not native to Florida
This low growing plant is frequent in open disturbed sites throughout much of the peninsula and into the central panhandle. Also found in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, it is native to the old world.
Prostrate and mat-forming, the leaves have three broadly obovate leaflets 0.5-1cm (1/4 to 5/16 in.) long. The pinkish-purple flowers appear in axillary clusters and are each 3mm-5mm (1/8 to 3/16 in.) long. Fruit is a curved and segmented loment 3mm (1/8 in.) wide and 13mm (1/2 in.) long
