Garberia - Garberia heterophylla
Threatened Florida species
Location - Ocala National Forest
Habitat - Sand pine & oak scrub
Range - Central Florida peninsula from Clay to Highlands County.
Description - A shrub, mostly 3-4 feet tall, but can be twice that, with grayish-green, alternate, obovate leaves. The small violet tubular flowers appear in showy clusters mostly in the late summer to fall.
