Welcome to the Wild Florida Photo animals database. This database lists information on various animal species occurring in Florida. This is not a complete listing, but mostly only those animals of which I have photos.
Each animal profile includes both the scientific and most common names. Also listed is the Federal and state of Florida status of the species: threatened, endangered or species of special concern.
Synonyms are included in many cases where the prevaling scientific classification has recently been changed or is in dispute.
